Tutorial: Team Admins

One of the most important features that has been added in the new USSSA.com website is the ability to attach more than one person as the manager of a team.

This tool is on the Manager Dashboard on the new responsive site.  To access it, it looks like this:

Once you select Manage my Coaches/Admins, you will be taken to a management screen that will allow you to add Coaches/Admins and assign specific tasks to them.

As you add a new user, you will enter their Name and Email.  Each user will receive an email asking them to either log-in with an existing manager account or create a new one.  This manager account will allow them to access only specified tasks that they are assigned.

There is a Type field that can be used to specify the role of the user, but are not related to setting their permission levels and areas of management.  This is just a label.

Roles & Permissions

On each team, the owner can assign and delegate to as many people as they choose.  There are four basic functions that a user can be assigned to.

  • Communication:  This allows the coach/admin to receive all system emails directed to the coaches/manager.Including receipts, status changes and notices from Event Directors.
  • Finance:  This allows the coach/admin to view and make payments through the Shopping Cart. Refunds will continue to be processed to the card that was used to make the payment.
  • Roster:  This allows the coach/admin to make adjustments to the players on the roster for the team. Including Guest Players, Select 30 Nominations, and All State Showcase (where applicable).
  • Owner: This allows the coach/admin the ability to add and remove other coach/admins that are added onto the team. The original owner of the team cannot be removed by this person.

The Owner and any user with Owner permission can delete or edit any user clearance.  BUT, the original team owner CANNOT be removed by any user on the team.

Once a user has their access, they can log-in to the Team Manager Dashboard and edit the areas they have been given clearance to.
